The Big Sale 2010

The Board of Trustees needs the help of the whole church community in order to have a successful Big Sale. Our church receives approximately $6,000.00 a year from the proceeds of the sale and this helps our budget a great deal. Our city and surrounding community also reap benefits from this yearly project. Another plus is the wonderful camaraderie and the friendships formed from working together on such a worthwhile project. Try it, you’ll love it!

The following areas are in need of help during the year and also during the sale:

  1. Pick up clean usable items from donors as they become available
  2. Help sort items (at once a month work bees) by categories, sizes, uses, etc.
  3. Store items in church attic, warehouse, garage or any other location the committee is able to acquire for storage
  4. Help in the advertising of the Big Sale
  5. During the actual time of the sale (two weeks before the sale) bring items into Tennant Hall and assist with sorting, pricing and displaying as needed
  6. During the sale workers are needed to sell, carry, load and assist in any of a dozen ways
  7. During the days of the sale, kitchen help is needed to supply food and treats for the workers
  8. Clean up after the sale and help with the disposal of any items left over

Remember, no job is too small and any effort on your part will be greatly appreciated. We work the second Saturday of every month up in the attic, beginning at 9:00 am, and are generally there for about two hours.

For more information call the church office (629-9425) or Elaine Rice (629-3104 or 629-5372). Thanks and we look forward to seeing you and working with you!

Please, donate your time as this is a worthwhile project.
