Lenten Soup, Supper, and Conversation
Lenten Suppers Return
February 13 is Ash Wednesday, the beginning of Lent. Lent is a season of prayer and fasting, preparing our souls with holiness, to share in the experience of new life and resurrection at Easter (March 31). We will gather together every Wednesday in Lent, except the last one before Easter, from 6 to 7 pm for a simple soup and salad supper. Then we will have a little learning time around a spiritual topic. Everyone is welcome to come and share. You will have a chance to sign up and bring some food to share, but it really is for everyone, and there has always been plenty. In past years we've talked about the Psalms, about mystics, and about Sabbath. This year we are taking a different tack, and talking about spiritual leadership and service. We will read from some of the prophets and apostles about their stories of call from God.
For further information contact the church office or Pastor Jeremy either directly or via the contact form on this website. Hope to see you there. Journey Well!
